Fiji Airways FJ 915 Nadi to Sydney our operating aircraft according to flight history was a Boeing 737 Next Gen - MSN 34969 - DQ-FJN originally operated by Air Berlin from 2007 until 2015 and now by Fiji Airways since late May 2015
WTF internally this aircraft is a heap of shit.
I seriously considered deplaning just after boarding when I saw the state of it. The business class seats are stuffed, after take off I was eyeing off the empty economy seats behind.
Finally tried out the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge Nadi International Airport after being allowed to check in slightly before 3 hours prior to our scheduled departure.
Had a shower first up all good it had not been used for a while and was all clean and dry, towels and bodywash/conditioner/shampoo and other stuff I did not take any notice of. At first I thought there was no hot water it seemed to run cold for a couple of minutes but then warmed up for the first shower that was not stone cold for the past week.
Have never really experienced this before, especially at an airlines home base airport as Nadi airport is for Fiji Airways. Had been traveling with others who were leaving Nadi Airport on an earlier flight to a different destination. Their flight departed at 14:45 and ours 3 hours and 45 minutes later at 18:30
This meant they needed to check in around 12:45 and would be boarded around 14:15
Recently flew Business class with Fiji Airways flight number FJ910 we were on a Qantas code share ticketed as QF391. The aircraft used was an Airbus A330-243 - MSN 1394 - DQ-FJT first flight date recorded for this aircraft was 19/02/2013
The business class seats are good in this aircraft, not as good as the likes of Qantas 330 or Cathay or Emirates A380 but ok.
Spent one Saturday night staying at the Rydges Sydney Central in Surry Hills, booked a Deluxe Room at a cost of $282.00 with breakfast included and parked a car in their carpark overnight which cost extra. The car parking is self parking below ground under the hotel at a cost of $40.00
We were emailed with an invitation to upgrade
The room seemed to be freshly refurbished and was clean and quiet even though we we in a room right against the elevators.
Recently stayed over a weekend with Miller Apartments in Adelaide, we booked direct with them as is our preference these days and received excellent communications from them leading up to the stay. We selected a 2 bedroom apartment and requested a two bathroom version as not all two bed apartments are guaranteed two bathrooms. We used their car park which is our preferred self park offering and is located in the basement of the complex.
Used a free night that had been accumulated with hotels.com to book a night with the new Mantra Hotel at Sydney Domestic Terminal area. The Mantra is a short walk from T2 and T3 although a lot of roadworks had made the walk longer than it used to be.
